tells a story,

“The Cello Quartet”

Remy Trimpin

This sculpture explores themes of burnout, disillusionment, and media saturation with salvaged 35mm film containers and medium format paper.

The flower, a symbol of life and growth, is slumped in defeat, its leaf-hand resting on its cheek in resignation. The phrase "don't think" on its face reflects mental fatigue. All there is left to do is to “photosynthesighs.”

The yellow rose—often symbolizing friendship, joy, or remembrance—gains new depth as it blooms from technological waste. The contrast between synthetic materials and organic form invites reflection on the intersection of industry, art, and the environment

The “film flowers” and “Photosynthesighs” were Created Out of the desire to salvage the Film roll shells that are otherwise thrown away. All the rolls made in these pieces were either donated from Moody’s Film Lab in Seattle, donated from friends, or were my rolls.

  • Texture Is An Important Element In My Work. “Two Sides Of The Same Dog” Is A Piece I’ve Been Working On That Uses Texture, Color, And Dimension. What Was Supposed To Be A Different Project All Together, Evolved Into A Passion Project About Duality Of Appearances.
