I am a Mexican-american interdisciplinary artist based out of Cowiche, WA that uses whatever is at my disposal to create a skewed reality using experimental film stocks, colors, perspectives, textures, and focal lengths.
Whether it be through film photography, or animation, my work veers toward an ethereal reality of the world. I translate these relationships into vibrant fiber pieces, sculptures from salvaged film materials, and animated photographs.
Currently, I am focused on a series of wheatpasted illustrations that were found in old and new notebooks. First scanning, then printing, then wheatpasting and painting with pastels. These pieces found representation about practicing mental toughness.
